A Swedish-made drivetrain storage bag for winter engine storage. The bag is made of transparent and UV-protected vinyl plastic. The durable and sturdy construction makes winter storage of inboard engines easier, and the pre-shaped construction and shaped seams ensure a good fit and reduce the need for storage fluid.
Transparent and UV protected material
Durable and long-lasting construction
Pre-shaped design for the best fit
Reduces the amount of preservation liquid needed
Material: strong transparent vinyl plastic
Emptying and filling:
Drain valve with shut-off valve at the bottom
Gardena male connector for easy filling and emptying
Format support:
2 PVC pipes to maintain the shape of the bag
Fastening:
4 fastening straps for the towing device
Size 1:
Alpha One
Volvo Penta AQ200 290SP
Size 2:
MerCruiser Bravo
Volvo Penta DuoProp
1. Remove the propeller.
2. Install the traction bag so that both tubes are placed on top of the cavitation plate. See illustration.
3. Install the drive bag so that the loose flap is at the back. The flap prevents the cooling water from splashing during the test drive.
4. Attach the tie-down straps in at least three places. The tie-down straps prevent the towbar bag from coming loose during a test drive when the antifreeze has been filled into the bag.
5. You can fill in antifreeze through the opening in the flap. Check that the drain valve is closed!
6. Check that the liquid level is above the suction valve so that the impeller does not dry out and become damaged.
7. Test run the engine, then turn it off after a few seconds and check the fluid level.
8. If the fluid level is still above the intake valve, restart the engine and let it run for a few minutes. If your engine is fully seawater cooled, the engine should be run for longer than a few minutes. Alternatively, you can remove the thermostat before running it.
9. When the preservative run is complete, you can drain the antifreeze/glycol mixture through the drain valve directly into a collection container. You can easily store the mixture for next time/year. However, it is a good idea to check the freezing point of the liquid and add Anti Freeze concentrate if necessary.
