Basic package compatibility:

This basic package is ideal for all types of hydraulically steered powerboats (inboard and outboard, sterndrive and diesel engines) and hydraulically steered sailboats. Requires a compatible Garmin chartplotter or GHC 50 autopilot. Hydraulic pump not included; a variety of pump options are available depending on the hydraulic steering of your boat.

Fixed 9-axis AHRS

With its advanced fixed 9-axis AHRS system, the Reactor 40 can be mounted in almost any location or orientation, while also reducing power consumption and heading errors.

Easy calibration:

All autopilots require configuration and calibration, and with Reactor 40, it's quick and easy.

Wireless remote control:

You can control autopilot from anywhere on your boat with compatible Garmin devices, such as the Reactor autopilot remote and select quatic® marine smartwatches.

Shadow Drive technology:

You can control your boat with even more freedom. With this basic package, optional Shadow Drive technology automatically disengages the autopilot when the helm is turned.

Motorboat and sailing characteristics:

When paired with a compatible Garmin chartplotter, all Reactor 40 base packages offer powerboating and sailing features like heading hold and step-by-step turns, and when paired with a wind sensor (sold separately), wind hold and tack/gybe. You can also track your course and use Auto Guidance+™ features, among other things. Auto Guidance is intended for planning purposes only and is not a substitute for safe navigation.

GHC 50 control unit:

It is an autopilot control unit. In addition, the GHC 50 can share data and settings with Garmin MFDs and other installed Garmin devices.
