Thinner for 1K paints and varnishes Use only the thinner specified in the product's instructions. Otherwise, it may be impossible to achieve a satisfactory result. Adding thinner can improve the flow of the paint, increase its coverage and enhance its absorption - all of which makes working easier. However, if thinner is used in excess of the maximum recommended amount, the effect on the product and the final result may be negative. When thinning the paint, its dry film thickness decreases after the thinners evaporate. Therefore, a second coat of paint may be required to achieve the desired dry film thickness. Important information Solvents/thinners in other paints can melt plastics. Make sure that the painting tools and plastic containers you use are resistant to the solvent in question. Do not pour thinners down the drain, but dispose of used thinners in accordance with local waste disposal regulations.
