Lewmar Winch Pawl Spring 1260-7, 4-Pack

Lewmar's original winch pawl spring (model 1260-7) is a small but critical internal part that keeps the pawls engaged in the drum's ratchet teeth, stopping the winch from slipping back under load. The spring weakens over time from saltwater, grit and normal use — a worn spring often shows up as a clicking or uncertain sound, or in the worst case as the winch failing under load. It's one of the most commonly replaced winch parts during annual servicing.

Fits all Lewmar winch sizes and most other brands' winches that use a similar pawl spring. Pack of 4 — enough for a full service of one winch (most winches have two or three pawls).
