Trim tab Mercury / MerCruiser 35 HP+

Genuine Mercury aluminum anode and trim fin. The trim fin fits most Mercury and Mariner engines 35 horsepower and up *. It also fits all MerCruiser drives (except Bravo drives) .

The trim plate corrects the propeller torque and also acts as a sacrificial anode . Replace the sacrificial anodes in time to maintain corrosion protection. Sacrificial anodes are made of a baser metal than the drive unit, which is why they corrode first, thus protecting the boat from the harmful effects of water. A general rule of thumb is to replace the anode when about half of the material has worn away due to corrosion. However, the trim plate also has a steering function, so it should always be intact .

* Mercury 40–60 EFI: This trim plate only fits engines with a large gear case ( 2.31:1 ratio). Alternative trim plate: 82115 .
