Impeller Mercury Verado 200-450 HP
Mercury impeller – original spare part.
The impeller should be replaced regularly according to the engine manual. The impeller wears out with use and can dry out over time. A poor-quality impeller can prevent adequate engine cooling, which can lead to engine overheating.
The engine's cooling water inspection jet (squiggle jet) can give an indication of the condition of the impeller. The jet should be clear and even, not dripping. If the jet is weak, first try cleaning the jet opening with, for example, a thin steel wire. However, the impeller should always be replaced according to the engine's maintenance instructions.
A repair kit is also available, product number: 82052.
