Mercury Mercruiser magnesium anode, wedge (826134T3)

Mercury Magnesium Anode - Genuine Part. Magnesium should only be used in fresh water. Fits Mercury 35-300 hp engines, check that your engine is listed below.

Replace sacrificial anodes in a timely manner to keep them protected from corrosion. Sacrificial anodes are made of a baser metal than the drive unit, and therefore they will start to corrode first. This way you protect your boat from the harsh effects of water. Today, the anode is usually replaced when about half of the material has corroded.
