Selden E40i Electric Winch, Aluminium

Selden's E40 series electric winches are designed for sailboats that want to power-assist the mainsheet or halyard handling without a heavy separate motor unit under deck. The whole drive mechanism is integrated into one compact unit, saving space and simplifying installation compared to traditional electric winches.

The E40i has a built-in motor — no separate motor under the coachroof or behind the coaming — and three speeds. Aluminium body.

E40i runs on Selden's SEL-Bus system and a power supply that converts the boat's 12/24V to the 42V the winch needs (power supply sold separately, item 26655). Combined with Selden's electric furling masts, E40i forms the "Synchronised Main Furling" system: press the furl button on the mast and E40i takes in the outhaul simultaneously — one button handles the whole furling sequence smoothly and safely.

Also requires a control unit (item 26656) to operate. Recommended fuse: 60A/24V or 100A/12V.
