Sleipner/Side-Power's advanced bow thruster
The SE80 is intended for slightly larger boats, 10-15 meters, and with its 6 horsepower it can easily move heavier boats. The bow thruster can also be used as a stern thruster.
The SE80 is equipped with two five-blade propellers designed for extremely quiet and efficient operation. The Q-PROP™ technology has undergone thousands of tests to optimize performance, allowing for:
- Up to 75% noise reduction measured in a controlled environment
- 20-40% average noise reduction in tested installations
- Up to 5% more thrust
- Smooth and powerful thrust in both directions thanks to two propellers
Sleipner/Side-Power bow thrusters are flexible to install, for example they can be installed at an angle over a fibreglass tunnel. The motor can also be turned - all to make installation easier on boats where space is often limited. The cables and control panel, which are purchased separately, have plug-and-go connectors and only fit in one direction.
