Charge Controllers
Solar panel charge controllers, such as MPPT and PWM, are a key part of solar energy systems, ensuring optimal charging and safe battery operation in different environments and needs.Charge Controllers -ryhmän tuotteet

The SUNBEAM MINI-R charge controller with MPPT technology is the smallest 65W charge controller you've ever seen! This small MINI-R controller is extremely lightweight, easy to use and has a waterproof IP67 housing. The SUNBEAMsystem MINI-R solar panel charge controller may well be the smallest 65A solar charge controller you've ever seen. As a so-called "line controller", it is designed for mobile vehicles. Connect it to a solar panel (up to 65W) and you have the only portable source of solar power at your disposal. Two extension cables are included. One with MC4 connectors to connect the solar panel and the other with fish jaws to connect the battery. You also get an optional cable to connect the cable lugs to the battery terminals permanently. You can charge all types of 12V lead-acid batteries. All SUNBEAMsystem SMART LITHIUM batteries are also compatible with the charge controller. To connect the MINI-R solar panel charge controller, the solar panel must have a maximum power of 65W. In addition to the solar panel, you will need a lead-acid battery with a nominal voltage of 12V. It cannot be connected directly to the devices. The battery cannot be completely discharged, it must maintain at least 5-6V for the MINI-R to detect that the battery is connected. Micro-sized, suitable for mobile use, waterproof design (IP67), MC4 connectors, system voltage: 12V DC, current consumption: <5mA, waterproof class: IP67, maximum PV nominal power: 65W, weight: 0.1 kg, dimensions: 66 x 38 x 16 mm. Included cables: solar panel connection: Cable with MC4 connectors (1.5 m), battery connection: Crocodile clips (0.4 m), Cigarette lighter plug (0.6 m). Optional accessories: 8mm battery retaining rings, MC4-MC4 3m or 6m.

- MPPT technology

The solar panel charger collects energy from the solar panels and stores it in the batteries. With the latest and fastest technology, Smart Solar maximizes the energy collection and intelligently transfers it to the battery for full charging in the shortest possible time. Smart Solar maintains the battery condition and extends its service life.
MPPT: Ultra Fast Maximum Power Point Tracking
By continuously monitoring the voltage and current output of the solar panels, MPPT technology ensures that every bit of energy available from the solar panels is utilized and stored. This benefit is most noticeable in partly cloudy weather, where light intensity is constantly fluctuating.
Remote monitoring and control - built-in Bluetooth
You can remotely monitor and control the Smart Solar MPPT charger's various functions by connecting via Bluetooth and pairing it with your smartphone or other device via VictronConnect. If your installation is connected to the Victron Remote Management (VRM) online service, you will have full access to the MPPT's features anytime, anywhere, and both services are free. In the case of a remote installation - even when there is no internet connection or phone signal nearby - you may be able to monitor the MPPT by pairing it via Bluetooth with a LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) device, which is available as an accessory.
Load output
The smart load output function prevents damage caused by battery discharge. You can set the voltage level at which Smart Solar disconnects the load and thus prevents unnecessary battery discharge. And here comes the smart part: Smart Solar tries to reach 100% charge every day. If that is not possible - during bad weather - the device increases the cut-off voltage daily until it succeeds. We call this function BatteryLife because it maintains the health of the battery and extends its service life.

Smart Solar maintains the health of the battery and extends its lifespan.
MPPT: Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking
By continuously monitoring the voltage and current of the solar panels, MPPT technology ensures that every drop of energy in the panel is captured and stored. This advantage is best seen when it is partly cloudy outside and the brightness is constantly changing.
Remote monitoring and control - built-in Bluetooth
You can remotely monitor and control the various functions of your Smart Solar MPPT charger by connecting via Bluetooth and connecting it to your smartphone or other device via VictronConnect. If your installation is connected to the Victron Remote Management (VRM) web portal, you can access the full power of your MPPT anytime, anywhere, and both services are free. For remote installation – even if there is no internet connection or phone coverage nearby – you may be able to monitor your MPPT by connecting it via Bluetooth to an optional LoRaWAN (Long Range Broadband) device.
Load output
The smart load output function prevents damage from discharged batteries. You can set a voltage level at which Smart Solar will disconnect the load, thus preventing unnecessary discharge of your batteries. And here comes the smart part: Smart Solar tries to reach a hundred percent charge every day. If this is not possible - during bad weather - the device increases the cut-off voltage level daily until it succeeds. We call this feature BatteryLife because it maintains the health of the battery and extends its service life.

Ultra-fast maximum power point tracking (MPPT)
Especially in cloudy weather, when light intensity is constantly changing, a very fast MPPT controller can improve energy use by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.
Output power
Excessive battery discharge can be prevented by connecting all loads to the load socket. The load connector disconnects the load when the battery has discharged to a preset voltage. Alternatively, an intelligent battery management algorithm can be selected: Reference to battery life.
The load connection is short-circuit protected.
Some loads (especially inverters) are best connected directly to the battery and the inverter remote control is connected to the load socket. A special connection cable may be required, see the user manual.
Battery life: Intelligent battery management
When the solar charge controller is not sufficient to charge the battery to full capacity in a day, the result is that the battery constantly cycles from a "partially charged" state to a fully discharged state. This behavior (no regular full charging) will destroy a lead acid battery over weeks or months.
The battery life algorithm monitors the battery's charge status and increases the load shedding level (i.e., cut the load earlier) each day if necessary until the available solar energy is sufficient to fully charge the battery to 100%. From then on, the load level is modulated so that a near 100% charge is reached approximately once a week.
